Short Film program

short film festivalIt is with great pleasure that we are announcing the finalists taking place in the short film competition for Cyprus Comic Con Film Fest 2016. With over 130 international submissions it was truly a hard tusk for our Jury to select the finalists especially because of the high quality of the overall films.

The high rate of local submissions from this year made us decide that other than the “Best of Con” award to also introduce the “National Treasure” award going out to one local filmmaker that the Jury felt will help introduce a new talent to the genre-loving CCCFF audience. Other than the films competing for the awards we have made a small selection of local web-shorts that we believe demand your attention and will be included in the schedule. Take note that some of the filmmakers will be present and short Q&A’s will follow their films.

To accommodate for the two-day upgrade of CCC2016 we have split up the selected films in three category blocks (fantastique, horror and kids films) spread out through the weekend.
