Super Smash Bros. Nationals Tournament

smash bros cyDo you like Smash Brothers? Do you think you have what it takes to prove you’re the best in Cyprus? Comic Con 2015 is giving you the chance to prove just that!

Sign up and fight your way into the Comic Con 2015 Cyprus Smash Tournament by defeating an opponent in a 3-stock bo1 game and taking a stab at the awesome prizes we have up for grabs this year!

There will be an entry fee of €10 for everyone competing in the main event. Please arrive at the registration area by 13:00. The tournament takes place between 14:00-17:00. All payments will happen during the Comic Con.

To take part in the tournament, you need to register online. The deadline for the registrations is on the 24th of August at midnight and the brackets will be announced on the 25th of August. We will stop accepting registrations on said deadline or when we reach 32 registered players. Please don’t attempt to register past the deadline or during the day of the tournament.

Artist Profile: Maria A. Aristidou

Maria A. Aristidou is a freelance artist from Larnaca. She currently divides her time between Cyprus and Liverpool, United Kingdom.

Maria uses a very unique medium for her illustrations! She uses different coffee blends in order to illustrate her favourite characters from movies, television and videogames just as if using watercolours.

Maria studied BA Fine Art Printmaking at the Manchester Metropolitan University and also completed a master’s degree in Arts Health at the University of Central Lancashire.

Her works have been featured in many popular sites, such as: borepanda, geeksaresexy, designtaxi, viralnova, laughingsquid, inquisitr, abcnews, yahoonews, additional acknowledgement by Hugh Laurie himself and many more!

Her main inspiration comes from pop culture phenomena, internet trends, movie characters and science fiction.

Ninja Game Returns at Fringe Festival

Do you remember last year’s ninja game led by Tsinik-sensei? Kupo just got serious – this year we have a proper arena as part of fringe festival. And there might just be an extra dimension with the introduction of super squishy foam swords to provide people 1000 years of pain with.

Practice your ninja poses, shout NINJA at yourself in the mirror and get ready for all day ninja on the 29th August at Cyprus Comic Con 2015!
