Artist Profile: Stavros Loutsios

Today’s Featured Artist for CCC16 is talented 3D-artist and animator Stavros Loutsios!

Stavros is an extremely passionate multidisciplinary artist, working both with media and 3D printing. From a young age he developed a passion for games, cartoons and anime. That passion has led him to study Applied Multimedia at the University of Nicosia and follow up with a master’s degree in Animation and Visual Effects at the University of Bradford.

To see more of Stavros work, visit his Facebook page.

For the past couple of years he has been using his 3D modeling and animation skills to design and edit 3D models, which he then brings to life, with the help of a 3D printer. Even though this technology is still young, it already offers multidisciplinary designers unlimited possibilities. His experimentation drove him in creating household items which are related to games, anime, cartoons and TV series.

Stavros currently lives and works in Nicosia as a freelance multimedia designer. He is the creator and owner of King’s Forge, a Facebook page where he posts about ongoing, as well as future projects. He welcomes everyone to contact him and share their ideas with him and he can help you develop them into final products!

Artist Profile: Siadora Papatheodorou

Young illustrator Siadora Papatheodorou will be one of our Featured Artists for CCC16!

Siadora was born in 1994 just outside of Athens, Greece, where she has been living for the past few years. She loved to draw from a very young age (mostly Pokémon and comics) and quickly realised that drawing was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. She decided to follow her dream of studying art and enrolled at the Athens School of Fine Arts. Siadora mainly creates comics and illustrations and says that telling stories through her artwork is what she enjoys the most.

You can see more of Siadora’s creations on her Tumblr and Instagram pages.

In 2015, she completed her first comic book titled ‘4,5 SEASONS’, a collection of four-and-a-half fantasy stories, which she self-published and presented at ComicDom Con in Athens. In 2016, she returned with another self-published project titled ‘Danae thrown to the Wolves’, a (slightly longer) fantasy story. She is currently working as a freelance illustrator, creating concept art for videogames and designs for various projects, however professionally she wishes to work in the comic book industry. In the meantime, she has been testing a few ideas for new comics, two out of which are currently under way and – you guessed it – are also fantasy-themed! Maybe after these two she might consider trying out a different genre. In the far future, she would like to write a novel. And make even more comics, of course!

Siadora has been participating in various comic conventions all around Greece for the last two years and she is very excited to visit Cyprus for CCC16!
