The Pokémon GO Cyprus community for the first time ever will be joining Cyprus Comic Con 2019! The booth was set up in order to promote Pokémon GO in Cyprus. “Pokémon GO Cyprus” consists of various groups in the island, brought together under a common umbrella. The team behind the Pokémon GO Cyprus community are looking to increase the player base by encouraging more people  to play the game in Cyprus, especially since team play is a big part of it.

Pokémon GO is an AR game for iOS and Android devices developed by Niantic.  It was first published in certain countries in July 2016 and in the following months it was released in more countries. Pokémon GO quickly became a worldwide sensation; it was downloaded over 850 million times and has won several awards including including the award for “Best Mobile/Handheld Game” by the Game Developers Choice Awards in 2016 and the “Fan Favourite Mobile Game” award by Gamers’ Choice Awards in 2018.
