Special Guest: Neil Gibson

We are thrilled to announce that Neil Gibson is returning as Special Guest at Cyprus Comic Con! We have a special relationship with Neil as he was the first ever guest on our short Con’s history. We are very excited to see him on August 29 at “Filoxenia Conference Centre” in Nicosia!

For more information, make sure to visit Neil’s website and follow him on Facebook and Twitter.

Neil is the founder of TPub and currently serves as the editor-in-chief.  Formerly a management consultant, he left behind the corporate world in 2012 to follow his passion – good comic books.

He is very passionate about comics and believes that the comic book medium is one of the most efficient ways to communicating stories. If you want to annoy him, just mention how you think comics are for kids (!) – his reaction is a constant source of amusement.

He has gives talks to universities, schools and businesses about comics and how they can help people in their studies and businesses.

Luckily audiences seem to like hearing him because he won’t stop yammering on about them. His mission in life is to get more people reading comics!

He currently lives in London with his wife and daughter.

Very excited to hear about this.

Neil Gibson is the reason I decided to partner up with an artist and convert my stories into comics.

I walked into his presentation on comics during the first CCC not knowing what to expect really. However, by the end of it I had decided to find an artist and try forming graphic novels out of my stories. As Neil told me when I approached him for some guidance on how to go about my idea, “You are at a ComiCon. You won’t find a better place or opportunity to search for an artist.”

I walked out of that room and into the crowded comicon paths were I found an artist and began a collaboration! I can’t wait to see him again and show him what we’ve done so far. Hopefully get his feedback on the project we are currently working on as well.

Very nice guy, always ready to offer advice and help you out. And of course, I have to mention the work his company does and how impressive it is. If I remember correctly, back then he had said most of the stories were his, and I thoroughly enjoyed Twisted Dark.

As I said, very excited, can’t wait to see him again.
