Loukia Chrysafi

We want to welcome Loukia Chrysafi to this year’s Artists’ Alley!

Loukia is mostly self taught, though she had a fellow artist teach her several techniques she was interested in the past and she took on a visual communication and illustration course in university. Though still experimenting on styles and techniques, Loukia enjoys more natural themes, but she likes implementing fantastical details in her work. She feel heavily influenced by east asiatic cultures in terms of themes used in literature and art in general. The traditional Chinese and Japanese ink painting and calligraphy interests her a lot however, she hasn’t got the chance yet to study their techniques up close. It is definitely something she looks forward to doing in the future. She has never really thought about making a living through her art, but it’s just something she really enjoys doing and likes devoting time to develop and experiment further.

Visit Loukia’s Instagram to see more of her artwork!

Mister S (Michael Drakos)

Cyprus Comic Con wants to welcome Mister S (Michael Drakos) to its Artists’ Alley!

Mike aka Mister S is an illustrator and graphic designer, born, raised and based in the beautiful city of Limassol, Cyprus. He has studied Graphic Design and he has been a proud member of ‘2C Design Box’, a creative multi-space located in Limassol, since his graduation.
He is in love with good design and his passion is to draw illustrations of any kind, but most of all, funky characters. When he creates on paper he likes to combine pencil with black ink, no colour, but when it comes to digital he mostly uses funky, vibrant colours along with black shadows to achieve a high contrast result. His style is influenced from the graffiti culture, since he has been spray painting for many years. Also  another big influence is the graphic design ‘world’, therefore anyone can notice in his illustrations some elements are more graphic.
If you want to see more of Mike’s art, you can follow him on Instagram!

Leonidas “Steve” Stivaktis

Cyprus Comic Con is excited to have artist Leonidas “Steve” Stivaktis to its Artists’ Alley for this year’s event!

Steve first took up a pencil when his grandma taught him how to draw daisies, and he’s never put it down since then. He studied comic art and illustration in Onerakis School of Applied Arts in Athens, creative writing in the Kapodistrian University of Athens, and he’s currently taking more classes on writing and ancient Greek theatre.

He’s been working in the field of illustration since 2008, and since then he has illustrated several books for children and teachers, the pen and paper roleplaying game “The Small Folk” for Fate, and he used to make queer comics for Antivirus magazine. He’s happiest when he self-publishes his comics and takes them from convention to convention in Greece and Europe, which he has been doing with great success since 2013.

He’s most known for his comics “Esmé”, “The Monsters in the Closet”, and “Skitsouxtra” / “Jellinkfish”, and currently he’s working on concept art for tabletop roleplaying games, a graphic novel about growing up queer in 90’s Athens, and several science fantasy stories, both as comics and alternative media.

The past couple of years, he’s been making Dungeons and Dragons designs, both official and as a fan. In convention circles, he’s often known as “that sticker guy”. In the rare occasions when he’s not working, you can find him playing D&D, reading inside buses or trains, petting dogs, or thinking how bummed he is that he’s not currently working or petting dogs.

You can follow Steve’s Instagram to see more of his work!
