Savvas Papadopoulos


Cyprus Comic Con welcomes back the talented illustrator Savvas Papadopoulos  to its Artists’ Alley for 2019!

Savvas is a freelance illustrator and designer from Nicosia,Cyprus. He graduated from Birmingham City University with a Visual Communication – Illustration diploma and he has since worked on various projects, such as game design, books, comics, logos, digital paintings, board games and lots of other things. He also has been learning animation recently. He wants to share his art with other great artists whilst also getting ideas and motivation from them.

Polina Tsatsami


We are pleased to welcome Polina Tsatsami to CCC19’s Artists’ Alley!

Polina is a 23 year old artist from Serres, Greece. She is mostly self taught but she attendeds some drawing lessons at “Artio” Art School At Serres and studied Graphic Designer at IEK Paster at Thessaloniki. Her passion is drawing and sketching, but she is working on some Graphic design projects as well. Her biggest achievements so far are earning the second place in a sketching/drawing competition about “Promotion Of Breastfeeding ” and earning the fourth place in a Poster Design contest about “Speak About Bullying”. Her inspiration comes from comics , anime, movies and her favourite music bands. Her dream is to work in the comic industry and be able to sketch and bring new heroes to life, like the ones she used to read as a child.

Special Guest: Guillermo Ortego


Guillermo Ortego

Illustrator & Comic Book Artist

Special Guest for Cyprus Comic Con 2019

Guillermo was born and raised in Madrid, but he is currently living in London. He completed a degree in History in 2009 and since then he has been inking comic books and illustrating books and magazines.

On inking duties he has worked for American publishers like Marvel, DC, Valiant and Dynamite, where he’s been lucky to collaborate with renowned pencillers as Jim Cheung, Emanuela Lupacchino and Jacen Burrows on books like Astonishing X-MenX-Factor and Moon Knight.

On the illustration front, Guillermo provides covers, portraits and interior pieces for newspapers like POLITICO or EL MUNDO and for magazines like PanenkaPopshot Magazine and Stir to Action. He has also illustrated books for the Spanish publishers EspasaEverest and Graphiclassics.

Lynn Shields


We want to welcome Lynn Shields to Cyprus Comic Con 2019 Artists’ Alley!

Pen and ink art with a twist. Perhaps dark and unusual but arresting and thought provoking. Lynn studied art and rediscovered her talent in the last 3 years. She now works as a graphic designer specialising in product development, turning abstract concepts into products for globally recognised brands and charities. Lynn has exhibited her art via a solo art show in Paphos and hopes to expand her portfolio to include more abstract concepts, different media and new ideas.

Nikoletta Kyprianou


We are delighted to have Nikoletta Kyprianou for another year at CCC’s Artists’ Alley!

Nikoletta is a freelance artist and illustrator from Nicosia, with a BA Degree in Illustration from Middlesex University. She really enjoys creating intricate pen drawings of weird and out of this world characters. Nikoletta grew up watching old horror and fantasy movies, while also reading books and comics such as Shivers, Goosebumps and Tales from the Crypt – which eventually inspired her art. Her work is all hand drawn with some final Photoshop touches, depending on the commission.

For the past 7 years, Nikoletta has been the art director for Power of the Night Festival and most of her current works include: CD covers and booklets, concert/event posters and t-shirt designs for several bands. She has also illustrated two educational children books called Animal Protest and The Angry Mouflon written by Elena Erotokritou. Nikoletta’s work has also been published in the following magazines: “Delivering Views #11: From Cyprus With Love”, “Aegis”, “Havra Art” and “Silvae”. She also took part in a project by Write CY (The Comic Book Project), in which a group of young authors and artists combined their forces to create original comic book stories that were exhibited at the 2016 Cyprus Comic Con.

Nikoletta also collaborated with the Copper Mouflon team to crate the front and back cover of their short Comic Book story called Demon’s Drive. She has also created the front and back cover Illustrations for the fantasy book called Island of Death by Marios Kyprianou which will be presented for the first time at Cyprus Comic Con 2019. In addition, Nikoletta has collaborated with the Sophia Foundation for Children, to create an illustration for their “Sophia With Love” charity exhibition.

Nikoletta was included in the 2008 D&AD Awards as an In-Book Selection, for creating a striking new look for the Space Opera book Series by the Orion Publishing Group. She was chosen amongst the best new-comer artists worldwide for the Illustration category.

She has been part of various exhibitions such as the 2008 New Blood D&AD Awards Exhibition, Ark – Under the Trees, Cyprus Comic Con (2015, 2016, 2017), the 9th and 10th Annual Akamantis Exhibition, the 2016 and 2017 Nicosia Pop Up Festival, the group exhibition “Love Bytes” 2017, Geek Fest 2018, the Kimera Collective group exhibition, Mainesthai” and the “Sophia With Love” exhibition.
