Maria Kofterou

Maria Kofterou mainly works with ink on paper blurring the boundaries between art and illustration. Comic books and manga have influenced her drawing style from early on and she often incorporates artisanal glass techniques in her practice to create three dimensional frames for her drawings resulting in series of works that allude to collections of specimens. She does murals as part of Deltacron street art crew and experiments with illustration as she hopes to create a series of short stories.

Maria Christina Loizou

Hi! My name is MC and I specialized in Multimedia Arts and Digital Illustrations and I hail from the wild west Texas! Fort Worth Texas y’all!

During the day, I work full time as Senior Digital Designer for Hellofresh in the U.S, responsible for E-learning gamification designs for adult training and internal social media designs. And during night time, I work as an illustrator, creating different arts whether digital or traditional!

I began my journey as a self-taught artist, using photography as my references when learning how to draw, along with various self-guided artbooks, while also partaking in artist groups to help advance my skills more by meeting other fellow artists!

Drawing and creating has always been a deep passion of mine ever since I was a kid, as I pour a little of my soul into each design/drawing. My creative path led me to apply at the University of Nicosia after finishing high school, earning my Bachelors in Applied Multimedia Arts and Minors in Graphic Design!

From there, I took it upon myself to keep advancing my creative skills, such as learning on gamification design skills, video edition and animation, along with partaking in various Artist Alleys conventions (such as Akon and AnimeFest) both in the U.S and EU!

At the end of the day, what keeps my inspiration going is meeting other amazing fellow artists, engaging with creative peeps and learning new skills each time! Or just geeking out in board games and DnD sessions!

I look forward to meeting everyone this year at CCC 2023! It’s been a while and I just can’t wait!

Maria Bintzilaiou – Seeker

Maria Bintzilaiou – Seeker, was born in Athens in 1997 and has been drawing since she remembers and is self-taught in the field of comics, while is currently a student at the University of Fine Arts at Ioannina in an attempt to combine the comics she so loves with the “something” of the painting element.

Having discovered her love for comics and more specifically manga at the age of junior high school, Maria who liked drawing, mermaids, dinosaurs and mythology, vowed to one day turn her stories into comics. The nickname Seeker emerged from her never ending quest of perfecting both skill and art style – or so she says. In April of 2022 she printed the first volume of her self-published work titled “Priers, Manifesting”, followed by the next volume a year later, “Priers, Aggravated” and is aiming on self publishing more volumes and creating more comics and zines.

In the year 2022, she attended the ComicDom Athens Convention, the ComicCon Thessaloniki Convention, the AthensCon Convention and in 2023, so far she has attended the ComicDom Athens and the ComicCon Thessaloniki Conventions.

In the near future she would be interested in working as a concept artist in the field of tabletop roleplay games like World of Darkness which she loves very much and which hasn’t ceased to be a source of inspiration for her.
