We are thrilled to announce that Luke Pearson, the acclaimed British illustrator, cartoonist, and comic book writer behind the globally beloved Hilda series, will be making a special appearance at Cyprus Comic Con 2024!

Born on October 12, 1987, Luke Pearson has become a household name in the world of comics and animation. His breakout series Hilda, published by Nobrow Press, quickly captured the hearts of readers with its adventurous heroine and magical landscapes. The series was so well-received that it was adapted into an award-winning animated show on Netflix, introducing Hilda to an even wider audience.

Pearson’s artistic career began in animation, where he contributed to the hit Cartoon Network series Adventure Time, working as a storyboard artist on its fifth and seventh seasons. His work on Adventure Time showcased his distinct artistic style and storytelling ability, a combination that later shone through in Hilda. Mariam


Mariam Shehadi, is a 24 years old self-taught artist from Sofia, Bulgaria. She work as a physicist, but her dream is to become a full-time artist. She loved to watch and draw anime since childhood, and started drawing more seriously during the pandemic in 2020. 

 Mariam enjoys doing OC art in addition to fanarts of anime shows and kpop idols, using traditional art media, mainly markers, watercolors and mixed media.

 At booths, she sells prints of different sizes of her original art, stickers, photocards, bookmarks, in addition to homemade keychains, magnets and tote bags, all designs made by her. She also sells handmade jewelry with anime and kpop themes (bead bracelets, earrings, key-charms and necklaces).

Athanasia Sotiropoulou


Athanasia Sotiropoulou or Nasia, is a 24 year old comic artist and illustrator from Greece. She is currently living on the Island of Crete, working as a special ed. schoolteacher.

Nasia published two comics “my fat cat’s diary” 1 and 2, and illustrated six books for children. Her comic script and illustrations are moments of everyday life from a different perspective. They’re inspired by her hometown in Greece and also by her coexistence with her cat. The materials she uses are mostly
watercolors and colored pencils but also Procreate mostly for comic illustrations.
