Malta Comic Con

Malta Comic Con is the longest-running art and pop culture event in Malta, bringing together local and international artists under one roof. Organized by Wicked Comics, the first convention was held in 2009 and has been an annual celebration ever since.
Held at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre (MFCC) in Ta’ Qali, the event offers a dynamic mix of activities, including artist exhibitions, cosplay competitions, gaming tournaments, workshops, and panel discussions. It serves as a platform for creators and fans to connect, fostering a vibrant community around comics, gaming, and pop culture.
Malta Comic Con is also closely linked with the Graphic Novels Library Malta (GNLM), an NGO dedicated to promoting education through comics and graphic novels. Together, they have introduced initiatives like Free Comic Book Day to Malta, aiming to cultivate a comic-literate public and support future creators.
As sister events, Cyprus Comic Con and Malta Comic Con both share a tremendous range of values ranging from supporting local talent, to encouraging travel and exchange and above all defeating loneliness and fostering a sense of community no matter how niche the interest or hobby in question.
