Artist Profile: Constantinos Hadjidemetri


Meet our next Featured Artist for CCC16, talented illustrator Constantinos Hadjidemetri.

Constantinos received his BA in fine arts from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma (Fine arts Accademy of Rome) in 2006. The same year he moved to Perugia where he studied a six-month intensive course of Italian language and culture at Universita per Stranieri di Perugia and by the end of that year, he temporarily moved to Cyprus. There, he participated at the first organised short film festival Ideodromio, in his hometown Limassol and later at the Short Film & Documentary Festival of Cyprus, in the categories of Short film and Animation and Student Fiction Film.

During 2006 and 2008 he has worked as a freelance illustrator and animator for the Eagle Casino Games and prepared a new short film for the Intransition exhibition at the National Centers for Contemporary Arts of Ekaterinburg and Moscow. During that period he also participated with a painting in The Red Cross Summer Exhibition at The Hague. Moving then to Spain, he undertook a postgraduate program in 2D & 3D Animation at Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona) and received his Masters in 2009. After his graduation he begun to work as a freelancer for various clients such as V5 & Cleanenergy in Barcelona, Tsiakkas Wineries and Gevorest in Cyprus. During the years 2013-16, he worked as an illustrator and animator at ZEDEM Media, a company specializing in educational video. Working under the label of ZEDEM, he created designs for companies such as ‘The School of Life’ and ‘TEDed’.
